Wembley Downs Residence
| For their retirement home, the “baby boomer” generation demand all the features of a family home in a format that allows flexibility for their changing needs. This light and airy, well proportioned 373 sqm home was designed as the perfect lock and leave house for those intending to travel. Retirees are trying to build a home where they can stay and don’t want to downsize to the point where they can’t have family around them. The ground floor plan incorporates a kitchen which overlooks the living and dining areas and features soft, self-closing drawers, Cesar stone bench tops, a double sink and walk-in pantry. A home theatre, laundry and generous master bedroom suite are also situated downstairs. If only a couple are living in the home, the entire upper floor could be left unattended. There are two upstairs guest bedrooms, ideal for visitors, kids and grandchildren. A second master bedroom with his and hers wardrobe is next to a lounge, both designed to maximise views across the park. |
